LECTURE: 

  • Read your textbook! (Skim before lecture & read after lecture)

  • Study to understand

  • Do NCLEX practice questions 

  • Watch Registered RN

  • Form a study guide early!! 

  • Study 1 1/2- 2 weeks before your exam

  • Do notes early before even studying

  • Use focus keeper app to study for long periods of time 

  • ** DO NOT CRAM (NOT WORTH IT)!!! 

  • Attend SI 

  • Read each question carefully (ABC's) What is it asking? What is the priority?

ATI PROCTORED: 

  • Read your ATI  RN Fundamentals Edition 9.0-10.0 

  • Read ATI book with corresponding chapters in lecture

  • Start to review early

  • Do all the adaptive quizzes from the ATI website and read the rationales! 

  • ONLY STUDY what you aren't confident in 

  • Read the questions carefully!! They try to trick you!

NURSING CARE PLANS: 

  • Use nurse labs and nursing diagnosis book to come up with nursing diagnosis! (Pick the best three nursing diagnosis that relate to your scenario)  

  • Make sure to save all your medication cards together so you can go back to them for future reference :) **HINT

  • Prepare for several hours on doing a nursing care plan!
